The crab is often synonymous with the beautiful state of Maryland, but we get our fair share of these wonderful critters down here in the Outer Banks as well. One of the main decomposers in the ecosystem, they help to clean up the sea bottom by harvesting decomposing animal and plant matter. Just another worker in the vast wonders of our ocean floor!
These fun little celebrations of the sturdy crustacean are made in two layers to give them hearty dimension. I’ve also added my hallmark on the backside. They hang onto their chain with a steady claw and invisible bail.
